Sometimes the body holds weight as an emotional strategy.
Not consciously.
Not because you’re choosing it.
But because some part of you may have learned that being heavier offers a form of protection from something that feels too vulnerable to face.
Weight can become a way to hide.
To create distance from intimacy, visibility, or being fully witnessed.
To hold emotions that never felt safe to express.
It may even give you a reason to postpone fully living: "When I lose the weight, I’ll…"
Weight can become...
a boundary
a place to hide
a physical expression of something you haven’t yet felt safe enough to release.
This can also show up through emotional eating—using food to soothe, numb, ground, distract, suppress, or disconnect when something deeper feels overwhelming.
This recording works with the energetic imprints beneath emotional weight:
Suppressed anger, grief, fear, shame, or overwhelm
The need to hide, shrink, or create distance
Using food to soothe, numb, or disconnect
Dissociation and disconnection from the body
Fear of being seen, desired, vulnerable, or expressing yourself
Holding onto weight to avoid change, visibility, intimacy, or freedom
Memories your body is holding long after the experiences have passed.
This is energetic work for the emotional weight beneath the physical weight.
As the deeper patterns shift, you may find it easier to stay present in your body, feel what has been held beneath the surface, and create a different relationship with food, your body, and your own life.
